Essential Resources
- Our global gaol is zero landfill. In 2009, 97.5% of KCA’s waste generated was either recycled or reused, reducing landfill to half that of 2003.
- Between 2003 and 2009 we’ve reduced our water usage by 3,300 megalitres – that’s the equivalent of 1,320 Olympic swimming pools.
- Our global policy is for all fibre sources to be accredited to recognised forest management schemes.
- The steam produced at our Tantanoola Mill provided 28% of Tantanoola and Millicent Mills energy needs - 36% of our total energy use in Australia.
Essential Community
- Kimberly-Clark Corporation contributes up to 1.25% net profit each year for community organisation donations.
- Locally, we contributed over $1M to community investments, including 844 hours of employee volunteering.
- Over the past 3 years our employees tripled their fundraising efforts for CMRI’s Jeans for Genes Day®.
Essential Safety
- Safety is at the core of our business from our Senior Leadership Team to the front end of our manufacturing operations.
- In 2009 Albury Mill celebrated 10 years with a Lost Time Injury.
